The John R. and Ann C. Raschke Endowment Fund is offering a $5,000 scholarship for the 2023/2024 School Year.

 

Application Process

The application window will be October 1, 2023 through January 1, 2024, and scholarships will be awarded by March 1, 2024.  All applications must be post marked or emailed no later than January 1, 2023 and sent to:

Eligibility

The purpose of the endowment is to provide scholarships and/or financial aid for those wishing to become ordained or commissioned ministers, teachers or professional workers in the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.  Recipients must attend an LCMS institution of higher learning. 

  • First priority will be given to those attaining their initial ordained or commissioned role meeting the following requirements with priority in the following order:

    • Member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Geneseo, IL

    • Former member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Geneseo, IL

    • Descendants of members of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Geneseo, IL

    • Descendants of a former member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Geneseo, IL

  • Second priority will be given to those wishing to achieve a masters or doctorate meeting the following requirements with priority in the following order:

    • Member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Geneseo, IL

    • Former member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Geneseo, IL

    • Descendants of members of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Geneseo, IL

    • Descendants of a former member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Geneseo, IL

 

  • Third priority will be given to those attaining their initial ordained or commissioned role and a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Geneseo, IL.

  • Fourth priority will be given to those wishing to achieve a masters or doctorate and a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Geneseo, IL.
